GIRLS’ BRIGADE – female members of the Church aged 5 – 19
The Girls’ Brigade is about reaching out to girls and young women within the church and surrounding community. In this outreach the wonderful news of the love and leadership of Jesus Christ is spread far and wide, to the girls, their friends, and families. As a Christian movement, the Brigade strives to live our motto, “Seek, Serve and Follow Christ” which gives girls and young women the hope of the Salvation that Jesus Christ offers in their lives.
The Girls Brigade is a vital part of the Church Family and provides an opening for evangelistic work by both officers and girls. The Church together with the Officers is responsible for the Spiritual growth, and practical Christian Training for the girls in its care. The Church members have a responsibility to both Officers and girls, in supporting them with practical help and prayer.
The aim of the Girls’ Brigade is:
“To help girls become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ,
and through self-control, reverence and a sense of
responsibility to find true enrichment of life”
The principles of the Girls’ Brigade are:
The Brigade acknowledges Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord according to the Scriptures and seeks to fulfill its aim to the glory of one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit
